Alfa Globe Weekly Update
In Serbia, Vrbas hosted Kraljevo in one of the most important clashes in the battle to avoid relegation. The home team won a close game (77-74) thanks to another great performance by Taylor Ross who once again proved to be one of the best players in the League. Ross scored 28 points but also added 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assist to her stats sheet. Teodora Saric contributed with 3 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. In Kraljevo Brianna Wise had another all around game (9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals) while Milena Vujacic played below her standards (1 point and 4 rebounds). Loznica lost the game at home vs Novosadska (88-101) and most likely lost its chance to make it to the final four. However, the newcomer in the League can be more than happy with results this season. Jasmine McRoy played well and almost had a double double (18 points, 9 rebounds) while Paige Cashin contributed with 6 points and 3 rebounds.
In Bosnia, Rudar Sport lost against Celik (59-80). Jelena Kapisoda in her first game scored 7 points and added 2 assists.
In Croatia, Tresnjevka did not leave any hope to Pozega (98-52). Mariah Smelser had another double double for the guests (13 points, 12 rebounds).
In Slovenia, Triglav defeated Ilirija at home (81-60). Lejla Omerbasic scored 12 points, added 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
In Slovakia, Nitra won at home vs BAM Pomrad (60-57). Camesha Davis had another extraordinary performance (20 points, 8 rebounds).
In Romania, Cluj got a big win vs Constanta (86-81) and proved once again that team chemistry matters. Arlesia Morse (33 points, 5 rebounds) and Aleksanda Begenisic (11 points, 8 rebounds) led once again the home team.
In Portugal there were no championship games this weekend but national cup was played. Carnide hosted Olivais Coimbra and lost (62-75). Treyvonna Brooks had another solid game for the home team (18 points, 4 rebounds).
In Poland, Siedlce lost at home vs Widzew (86-92). Samra Omerbasic scored 3 points and added 2 rebounds.
